One For Sorrow

One for Sorrow 1

Magpies… one of my favorite birds, at the very top.  Magpies the most elegant of the Corvid family.  Working on a new project illustrating the counting “crows” nursery rhyme.

  3. What a perfect depiction of loss. Loss hollows us out. The fresh carve deep and clear while old losses fade, leaving ghostly imprints that never quite disappear.

I will take more magpie shots. I have a family here at the moment and I follow them all day when I am home, you are welcome to use them for reference. They are becoming quite tame, in a wild bird way.

Thanks. Really pleased to have found your elegant blog. Looking forward to further visits. Writing this on holiday in the far west of England, Cornwall, where the Chough is king! Regards from Thom at the immortal jukebox.
